If you have acquired a UK qualification issued in the UK by a recognised institution, you may need certification, verification or legalisation of your original documents before submitting them to the Uzbek/other countries’ authorities, educational institutions or employers.
- Certification is confirmation that a photocopy is a true copy of an original document. We can prepare for you certified copies of your original UK qualifications.
- Verification is the process of ensuring that original documents are genuine. British Council Uzbekistan can act as a verifying authority and confirm the validity of UK educational or professional documents.
- Legalisation is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a public document is genuine. The Legalisation Department of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is the authority that issues apostille stamps for holders of UK degrees who seek recognition of their awards in their country of residence. Before sending your document to the Legalisation Department of the FCDO you will need to have the original verified first.
