Salary | The position is a free-lance job. It is paid in UZS per month according to the factual hours worked. Candidates are expected to work between 09.00 – 18.00 approximately on test day. |
Duration | Freelance - 1 year contract |
Working hours | Between 5 and 10 hours per test session, with tests taking place up to three Saturdays and one Thursday per month, dependent on city location. |

Role overview
The post holder will be part of a wider team of test day personnel, contracted to support the delivery of a variety of tests on behalf of the British Council across various locations in the country.
Invigilators will support the Examinations team in the delivery of all exams in line with examinations quality standards and in order to meet the Examinations Strategy while meeting standards for excellent customer service. They will also be allocated different roles on test days including duties before, during and after exams. Post holders will have training and development opportunities.
Essential requirements:
- Suitable candidates should be legally entitled to work in Uzbekistan;
- Resident in one of the cities where we have vacancies for invigilation staff;
- Available for work on weekdays and Saturdays on demand;
- Demonstrate good levels of spoken and written English (minimum B2 level, desirable: C1 level);
- Ability to deal with customers in a professional manner, to a high level of service;
- Ability to follow and carry out instructions carefully;
- Work effectively in a team and demonstrate good organisational skills;
- Have a strong sense of security and responsibility;
- Have a strong understanding of the importance of cultural awareness in a multi-cultural environment;
- Completed Secondary Education - Desirable: completed First Degree education
- Confident user of computers and related technology. Desirable: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, if required.

British Council pre-recruitment checks will be required for shortlisted candidates, including references, qualification checks, background and criminal record checks.

- Original and copy of the highest completed level of education certificate.
- Original and copy of the latest English language certificate. The level will be assessed on the interview.
