Role overview
Our Internship Programme is open to students or graduates (18 years or above).
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS IN EXAMS/CALL-CENTRE DEPARTMENT:
- Strong communication skills with customers in Call-centre
- Supporting the Exams and Call-centre team with everyday business tasks
- Computing skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Desire to work & develop
- Fluency in Uzbek, English and Russian (spoken & written)
- Knowledge of the British Council work areas is beneficial
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS IN PROJECT DEPARTMENT:
- Strong communication skills with customers in Call-centre
- Supporting the project team with everyday business tasks in projects delivery
- Computing skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Desire to work & develop
- Fluency in Uzbek, English and Russian (spoken & written)
- Knowledge of the British Council work areas
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS IN MARKETING DEPARTMENT:
- Strong communication skills with customers
- Supporting the marketing team with everyday business tasks
- Strong computing skills (MS Office) and graphic design programmes (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW)
- Understanding of functionality and trends of most popular social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Desire to work & develop
- Fluency in Uzbek, English and Russian (spoken & written)
- Knowledge of the British Council work areas
The period of internship would be nine months. The starting date of internship is 1 February, 2020.
The programme is part-time, i.e. interns are expected to work up to eight hours a week in the British Council office in Tashkent. Before applying, please make sure you are ready to take on such a commitment.
DO INTERNS GET A CERTIFICATE?
All selected candidates who have completed the internship programme successfully will receive a certificate stating the period of the internship and the duties which they were assigned.
WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF EMPLOYMENT AT THE BRITISH COUNCIL AFTER THE INTERNSHIP?
As the main purpose of the Internship Programme is to provide an opportunity to gain experience in project work in an international environment the programme is not related to employment in the British Council.
An intern may apply for any job opening in the British Council during his/her internship programme, if he/she wishes to apply.
