In casting their Globe to Globe Hamlet, a squad of brilliant actors and intrepid adventurers have been assembled.
The previous touring versions of Hamlet, one directed by Dominic (2011) and one directed by Bill (2012), had companies of eight – but for this, the biggest project to date, the theatre wanted its actors to have both flexibility in the roles they were taking on (two years is a long time to play just one part) and also, given the particular rigours of this tour, a chance for some respite on the road: with these 12 actors, they have an ensemble who can spin among themselves so many tellings of the play that almost every country will see a slightly different line up of actors and roles.
