Welcome to the first edition of Vocational Education Exchange, the British Council’s new initiative for teachers and leaders interested in vocational education and skills.
Given the fact that youth employment issues are becoming increasingly important in Uzbekistan, we consulted with our partners and came to a conclusion that this journal will serve as an excellent platform for dissemination of the national and international best practices and publication of news of vocational education and skills development.
And that’s what Vocational Education Exchange is looking to provide.
This month we take a broad look into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and ask about some of the challenges that currently exist. We also offer a gentle introduction to the magazine and what we hope to achieve over the coming months. Read on to find out more and learn how you can get involved in future issues.
