Creative Producers is British Council three-year programme that aims to promote creative producing in Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan).
From desk research and previous experience we see a range of interesting artists, projects and festivals happening which could be considered as the formation of a contemporary or experimental arts scene lead by different practitioners.
We would like these practitioners gain the skills and confidence to enable them to develop and deliver exciting, cross-artform work that is internationally recognised for breaking boundaries, whilst having support from their local artistic and cultural communities.
We want to develop a group of creative producers who feel empowered to encourage artistic experimentation and work across musical genres and artforms; to establish new names in the creative and cultural sectors of Central Asia and to promote new UK cross-sector artistic work in this region.
